The 11 Most Instagrammable Restaurants in Madrid You Must Try Now

While Barcelona and San Sebastian get a lot of attention for their sexy food scene, dining in Madrid is on another level. Of course, expats in Spain argue this point constantly, but I can attest that madrileños really know and love their food…. and for good reason. Just take one look at the most Instagrammable restaurants in Madrid, and you’ll find that the capital truly delivers.

Okay, okay… I’m not trying to start a war. The great thing about Spain is that, of course, you’ll find ah-maz-ing food everywhere. But as a lover of really good food, I have to tell you that the thing that Madrid does best is deliver great dining experiences.

Seriously, the capital dazzles. It is the center all of things. The freshest seafood is flown in from Galicia. The best vegetables make their way from Andalucía, Calatonia, or Valencia. And, the jamón, queso, and wine? Well… the country is so well-known for these products that you can find the best anywhere… especially in Madrid

In other words, Spain’s culinary treasure troves are endless, and every region in Spain ensures their “bests” make their way to the capital. And that is why is restaurants in Madrid are so proud. I’m not arguing that here. What I’m trying to do is to introduce you to the restaurants here in Madrid that have serve amazing food and that also are so freakin’ gorgeous that they are the most instagrammable restaurants in Madrid you must try now!

Sooo… super bonus… they are delicious, too!!!!!

1. Amaznico

Okay, the fact that this is my first pick for most Instagrammable restaurants in Madrid says a lot. Amazonico‘s decor evokes an exotic trip down to the Amazon rainforest, and the owners just nailed it!

The restaurant’s menu is globally-inspired. Amazonico’s dishes include the following influences: Brazilian, Japanese, Argentinian, Indian, Peruvian, and Chinese. In Amazonico’s basement, there is The Jungle Jazz Club. On a weekend night, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail and listen to live jazz music.

This gastronomic gem is a must-visit. It is the ultimate Madrid spot to see and be seen.

2. Bel Mondo

Bel Mondo‘s interior is one of the most opulent, yet coziest I’ve seen in Madrid. The restaurant’s decor has an eclectic, retro, south Italian vibe. A little bit tacky, a little bit glamorous, and so so so fun. And although the space is quite large, you feel like you’re dining in someone’s (like a crazy but cool distant aunt’s) home or patio.

As one of the most trendy places in Madrid, Bel Mondo’s reservations are booked weeks or months in advance. We suggest pre-booking your reservation to avoid long waits.

Italian food is usually a safe bet. So, you can’t go wrong with anything you order at Bel Mondo. But, the menu star is the pasta carbonara. Servers elaborately spin the noodles in a wheel of cheese. The dish is made-to-order, served table-side. And for dessert? The chocolate calzone, hands down.

Calle de Velázquez, 39

3. Raimunda

Raimundo, one most the Instagrammable restaurants in Madrid

Raimunda is an elegant South American fusion restaurant. Outside, Raimunda has a gorgeous terrace where you can enjoy an alfresco meal. Inside, the restaurant’s vibe is hip and eclectic. Picture lush ferns hanging from the ceiling, warm lighting, and rustic brick walls.

Raimunda tacos are very good, and so are the lasagna de Rabo de Toro, hamburger, and solomillo (steak). Don’t forget to check out the drink menu! Raimunda has fabulous South-American-inspired cocktails like a mojito criollo or pisco sour.

This restaurant’s location also makes it one of Madrid’s most Instagrammable restaurants. It’s just steps away from the famous Plaza de Cibeles, one of Madrid’s most beautiful landmarks.

Paseo de Recoletos, 2

4. Coco Mocca

Coco Mocca is one of Madrid’s newest Instagrammable spots. Modern pink velvet seating is juxtaposed with traditional English floral design. The cafe’s featured “living walls” make the picture backdrop. Think peonies, roses, and other floral delights.

This cafe/pasteleria has delicious treats like croissant sandwiches, tostadas, and fruity desserts. Just don’t let your cafe con leche get too cold while snapping the perfect pose for Instagram.

Paseo de las Acacias, 49

5. Ático by Ramon Freixa

Located in the very stylish Principal Hotel, Ático isn’t only our list because Chef Ramon Freixa has 2 Michelin stars. Ok, it helps. But, the restaurant’s adjoining terrace also has an unparalleled rooftop view of the Metropolis building, which makes dining here extra Instaworthy.

Try visiting Ático from spring to fall. During these seasons, it is warm enough to sit outside on the intimate terraza and admire the Metropolis. However, if you don’t snag a table on the cozy terrace, the luscious upscale interiors are so chic, your pics will still be drool-worthy.

Ático offers a set lunch menu that includes a starter, main course, and dessert. Foodies will enjoy the restaurant’s full-tasting menu (degustacion) with wine pairing.

If you’re not in the mood for a full meal, you can also ask for a table at La Terraza or La Pérgola for cocktails and light snacks. Both also offer great views, and if you’re visiting during cold or rainy months, La Pérgola is enclosed and open every day of the year.

Calle del Marqués de Valdeiglesias, 1

6. Bodega de los Secretos

Interior of Bodega de los Secretos, one of Madrid's Most Instagrammable Restaurants

If you love intimate and romantic settings for your Instagram posts, Bodega de los Secretos is one of the coziest dining spots in Madrid. It’s actually the oldest bodega in the city, and the aged-look interiors add a touch of mystery. Ideal for couples, tables for two are set within private alcoves. Diners can admire the ancient-looking stone arches and romantic decor.

The wine list is impressive. And for the menu, the magret de pato (duck) with sweet apple confit is to die for.

Calle de San Blas, 4

7. Perrachica

Perrachica is a neighborhood favorite located in Chamberí and gets our vote for one of Madrid’s most Instagrammable restaurants due to its adorable tiled patio and cozy, eclectic interiors. The restaurant is part of the famous Grupo Larrumba, a vanguard of Madrid’s dining scene.

Perrachica’s menu is as diverse and interesting as its decor. There’s something for everyone including vegetarian and vegan options.

Calle Eloy Gonzalo, 10

8. Jardin Secreto de Salvador Bachiller

Secret Garden Restaurant, one of Madrid's most Instagrammable restaurants

There are four different VERY Instagrammable Salvador Bachiller restaurants in Madrid, but our favorite is Jardin Secreto. Part of its appeal is its location… it’s a bit more hidden than the rest. When you arrive, you’ll find yourself at a Salvador Bachiller storefront (an interesting shop that carries luggage, handbags, and little odds and ends). Don’t worry, you are in the right place! Head up to the 3rd floor, and you’ll find the secret garden café.

The Jardin Secreto is perfect for a chill afternoon. Whether you are in the mood for brunch or a cocktail, the delicious menu matches the imaginative and whimsical decor. And definitely try Jardin Secreto’s festive smoothies.

Calle de la Montera, 37, Planta 3

9. Café Comercial

Exterior bistro seating at Cafe Comercial in Madrid

Any Madrileña will tell you that Glorieta de Bilbao is one of the city’s most historic plazas. When dining at Café Comercial, you’ll have a front-row view to this iconic site.

Café Comercial is a charming cafe and restaurant that has been open since 1887. If you enjoyed the Netflix series Emily in Paris, then you will totally love this place. The outdoor bistro chairs, indoor banquet seating, and romantic decor all scream Parisian chic.

Café Comercial is perfect for enjoying a sunny brunch alfresco. Perched right in front of the Bilbao metro station, you’ll have a great time people-watching and can snap plenty of pics in front of the plaza.

Glorieta de Bilbao, 7

10. La Casa de Cristal

Colorful Restaurant, very Instagrammable

If you’re up for exploring an area outside of Madrid’s main central area, then a trip to La Casa de Cristal could be just for you. This gorgeous, colorful restaurant is located in Chamartín. It’s here you’ll find Madrid’s main financial center, as well as Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, where the Real Madrid soccer team plays.

La Casa de Cristal is popular with locals because of its fantastic enclosed terrace and delicious traditional food. You’ll find a lot of people come especially to hang out at the bar after work. So, if you’re interested in getting to know some local cuties, this could be a great place to find them!

Calle Pedro Muguruza, 1

11. Salon des Fleurs

And one of my favorite new finds is Salon des Fleurs! If you’re in the Chamberí district and want to a place to grab some dessert and coffee, Salon des Fleurs has become one of Madrid’s most Instagrammable places. Even though it’s more of a pastry and flower shop, you can also grab other light treats and refreshments while you enjoy the super cute decor.

A perfect spot to meet your girlfriends, or spend some quiet time before exploring more of the city, Salon des Fleurs is so dreamy you may never want to leave.

Calle de Guzmán el Bueno, 106
